Holiday dress-up days at the Jr./Sr. High School are set! Let's get creative and go into the holidays with some fashionable festive wear.

Marlette Elementary Reminder: Dress-up Days start tomorrow!

The annual Marlette Elementary Giving Tree is decorated and shining brightly in the school's lobby to help those in need during this holiday season. All toys stay in the Marlette community through Marlette Toys for Tots.
If you'd like to help, you can donate any unwrapped toy for a boy or girl from infant to 12 before Thursday, December 14th, or you can send a check to Marlette Elementary School, Attn: Giving Tree, 6230 Euclid St., Marlette, MI 48453 and we can purchase toys for you.
The school will be open from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm during school days, and donations can be placed in the container in the lobby.

Marlette Community Schools wishes to thank the Marlette PTO and 50 volunteers for the time and energy they put forth to make the Santa's Shop a massive success for our elementary students.
Your generosity is indicative of the spirit of the season in Marlette.

Best wishes for a victorious performance to both teams. Go Red Raiders!

Ms. Laursen's class earned all their letters this month for the word LEADER by being Ready, Respectful, and Responsible in the hallways and around the school. The class chose to watch The Grinch as their prize!

Good luck to our Junior High Girls as they play this evening at Harbor Beach. Go Red Raiders!

The Veterans Esteem team (VETeam) is collecting donations for care packages to send to a group of Marines serving overseas. If you want to join the VETeam, please let me know ASAP.
If you would like to donate, the following items are needed:
Travel size shampoo
Travel size toothpaste
Disposable razors
Travel size shaving cream
Travel size Q-tips
Donations are needed by 12-12-23 so they can be shipped before Christmas. Please drop your items at the high school office, and we will give them to Rachel Bennett, who will send our donations.

There are only seven more days until our blood drive. Some helpful tips before donating blood are to:
1. Drink plenty of water and fluids in the days leading up to your donation.
2. Eat a healthy meal before your donation, avoiding fatty foods.
3. Get a good night's sleep before your donation.
4. Wear comfortable clothing with sleeves that can be easily rolled up.
5. Bring a list of any medications you are currently taking.
6. Be prepared to answer questions about your health history and recent travel.
7. Plan to rest for a few minutes after your donation and have a snack and drink to help replenish your fluids.
