Due to icy back roads, Marlette Community Schools is closed today January 24th.

The Jr./Sr. High School just sent a robo call to parents as a reminder of our upcoming Thursday/Friday exam schedule. It appears there is a slight glitch in the robo call system for some phone providers. We apologize if this caused any confusion or inconvenience.

Boys basketball team ends the week with a win over Memphis (44-42)

Jr./Sr. High School 1st semester exams will be:
January 23rd - 1, 3, 5 periods
January 24th - 2, 4, 6 periods
Please remind your child the importance of studying for these exams and doing his/her best.
Additionally, Jan. 24th is a 1:00 pm dismissal for all students.

The Brown City and Marlette Farm Bureau Insurance Agencies recently donated $3,000 toward the transportation of the Agent Orange Quilt of Tears to the Thumb area in April. The Marlette Jr./Sr. High Verteran Esteem Team thanks Farm Bureau Insurance for their generosity and support


If you haven't heard yet, VIP & Me Math Edition is coming up next Tuesday at our elementary school from 3:00 until 4:00. RSVPs are due this Friday and we are not accepting late RSVP forms. We look forward to seeing everyone there!


The Ben Taylor Quiz Bowl Invitational scheduled for Saturday, January 18th has been cancelled. A makeup date is TBD.

What were Mr. Schleicher’s students focusing on in December? Reading of course! Mr. Schleicher’s class won the field trip to Hannah Wolfe by returning the most December Reading Calendars. The students and residents enjoyed making a winter wreath and of course enjoying snacks.

Ms. Herron, Mr. Kohler, and Mrs. Sadler are wearing the shirts they got from the teachers for Christmas. The secretaries’ shirts are hard to read, but they define school secretary as, “A person who solves a problem you did not know you had in a way you do not understand.”


Beginning January 13, 2020, the District will begin adding carbohydrates to the Elementary Lunch Menu posted on the website, as well as to the app for both buildings.
