Every day brings a new opportunity to influence the lives of children, and you do so with kindness, love, and leadership. Thank YOU!

Adi, Olivia, Gabby, and Nadine are our new Student Council Officers!

Our high school winds played a difficult and emotional program at the state festival located at Bay City Central High School.
The clinician, Dr. Greg Cunningham, director of bands at Oakland University, told our bands during the clinic that they performed "extremely sophisticated music" and that "the level of cognition is profound."
Amidst a very tough adjudication panel, our band received straight excellent (II) ratings on stage - only two bands were receiving straight ones all day, and neither were class D bands - but despite the rating not reflecting our passion and work ethic, we couldn't be more proud of our modest ensemble. The devotion to excellence is something that our students display every day.

There is still time to stock up on popcorn snacks to support our Marlette Elementary Student Council.

This month in Ms. Laursen's class for our Student Spotlight board, students combined art and a writing project. They wrote about what they liked best about spring on our flowerpot, then colored their flowers and added them to the pot to make a lovely spring craft.

Our Indigenous Studies students had the incredible opportunity to meet virtually with April Lindala, a member of the Mohawk Tribe and Indigenous Studies professor from Northern Michigan University. They discussed decolonization efforts, steps to reconciliation, and ways to become better allies.

It is a VERY busy week with Marlette athletics. Good luck to all of our athletes. Go, Red Raiders!

Please welcome Brian Wetter to our Marlette Community Schools family! We are so happy to have him with us and on our team.

Looking forward to seeing our Marlette community cheer on our team!
Half of the proceeds will help support the park and the pool. Go Red Raiders!

Kelly Lams and her first-grade class are celebrating Fluency Week in reading. Each student has been able to take a turn and be the teacher to share their skills in reading fluency. They are all proud of their accomplishments and have worked hard this year to become better readers.

There is still time to document your purchases with Box Tops for Education. Marlette Elementary is a Box Top for Education school. There is no more clipping, and the electronic process is effortless. Just download the app, buy groceries, and scan your receipt. Monies from each box top support our elementary school assemblies, books for the vending machine, and other activities.
