High school students from the county's seven school districts compete for plaques, medals, and the prestigious traveling trophy during the Academic Games. The games feature teams from area schools trying to beat each other in four academic categories: math, language arts, social studies, and science. Our teams did well this year, with our science team bringing home the first-place trophy! Congratulations to all for representing Marlette so well!

Thank you for having a strong desire to learn and for making great strides in your education!

Evelyn, you are such a great role model! Thank you for your leadership in our school

Congratulations to our Red Raider Pride winners this week! They include Ethan Meyer, Zackariah Jobson, Avery Alessandrini, Charleigh Stockton, Daniel Valle, Jordyn Mardlin, Aiden Shaver, Rylee Irwin, Elijah Williams, McKenna Marquardt, Blake Warren, Emma Gibson, Chase Gritzinger, Harper Goss, Skyler Emerick, Parker Bressman, and Rainey Sears.

The students made a deal with Officer Sanchez. If 90 percent of the class had A's or earned 100% on their spelling test, he would host a pizza party for them! Fourteen kids earned 100%, and several students earned A's on their work. Officer Sanchez hosted a wonderful celebration for the deserving students.

THANK YOU to Beagio’s of Marlette for donating dinner to the Boys Varsity Basketball team as they prepare for the District tournament. Beagio’s staff was helpful and inviting, as always!
Our team opens the tournament at Peck on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

The Staff Wellness team thanks our 3rd-grade team for all they do to inspire our students to learn. All of the little things they do are noticed daily. Thank you for being change-makers in our school.

The Baseball Team Store is open for you to purchase Marlette merchandise. Batter up and shop on!

March is Reading Month, and we have many celebrations planned. Some of these are Dress-Up Days! Our first Dress-Up Day is on Monday, March 4, 2024, and students can come to school dressed as pirates!
(Parents and guardians, we will enjoy some reading times where students can read by flashlight. Please send a flashlight in with your student that they can keep at school this month.)

The Varsity volleyball team was recognized at the boys' basketball game last Wednesday night. They were recognized for their successful season, winning Back-to-Back League and District Championships and a Regional Championship.
Along with that, Marlette recognized 3 All-State recipients:
Olivia Findlay was honorable mention, Emma Heussner was 3rd Team, and Gabby Martinez was 1st Team.
And more congratulations are in order! Gabby Martinez set an MHSAA record for her career aces total with 307, and Emma Heussner set an MHSAA record with 47 assists in a match.

Red Raider Care kids wanted to appreciate our bus drivers' daily efforts and gave them an extra shout-out today with some creative hand-made signs.

At last night's gathering with the Robotics Club, there was quite a bit of excitement. Students worked on coding so that their ROBOT could be turned on and start functioning. One of the students also worked on building bumpers for the robot to prevent damage.

Our JH team will be playing tonight at the elementary school! Come out and root for our Red Raiders.

Our Girls Varsity game starts at 5:00 at home! Go, Red Raiders.

There are some great games to watch tonight at North Branch. Good luck to our boys, and GO, RED RAIDERS!
