Congratulations to the Marlette High School Business Professionals of America team for an amazing performance at the 2024 BPA State Leadership Conference in Grand Rapids, MI! Over 2000 students from around the state competed in fierce competitions, and Marlette and did well in several events. Six individual students and two teams placing in the Top 7, where they were recognized on stage and received awards, while the Top 3 places qualified for the National Leadership Competition in Chicago, IL during the week of May 10-14, 2024. Great job, BPA team!








Each teacher at the Elementary School selected two students to be our Red Raider Pride winners this month. Students earn tickets by being ready, respectful, and responsible. These students received a book from our book vending machine. We are so proud of these Responsible Red Raiders!

Today, a drawing where a child from each grade level was chosen for a book basket at the end of the Literati Book Fair. Winners of the book baskets were Kinsley Cahoon (Pre-school/Young 5s), Zach Jobson (Kindergarten), Silas Hochstedler (1st Grade), Jameson Hines (2nd Grade), Jensen Pabst (3rd Grade), Faith Jones (4th Grade), and Kaydance Wilkins (5th Grade). Also, due to the generosity of parents and community members, 36 books were purchased for teachers through the Teachers Wish List.

Congratulations to the following young athletes who participated in the Marlette Impact Youth Wrestling program:
Kinsley Hayden placed 1st in the girls' division and 4th in the boys' division, which is a big accomplishment for her first year wrestling.
Xavier Frazier earned 4th place in the tournament, and it was also his first year playing the sport.
Jacobi Outman placing 2nd in the girls' division.
And Kennedy Werth placed 4th in the girls' division.




Faith, your love for the arts and sciences is a testimony to your dedication as a student. Thank you for working so hard in school.

Emmett, thank you for your efforts to want to excel while in school. You are a fine example of being a Red Raider.

6th grade boys finished the basketball season today, winning the NB tournament. The team had a great year! Thanks to the parents and coaches for your help in supporting a successful year!

4th grade students had a visit from author Judy Hudson, who is a retired Marlette teacher. She read one of her seven books to the students about a family of birds who lived on her porch. The teacher, Ms. Hudson, also taught students how birds eat and digest their food.

Ms. Laursen, Ms. Tiffany, and Ms. Kim's classes enjoyed listening to author Judy Hudson read about sewing a quilt. Mrs. Hudson even passed around thimbles for the children to see. Thank you, Mrs. Hudson; we greatly appreciate it!

Our Girls Varsity Basketball team is moving forward in Districts tonight. Let's ALL come out and cheer on our team. Please note: the game starts at 7:30 PM.

Does your child have a favorite book character? On March 15th, students can dress up like the character to continue our reading month celebrations.

Congratulations to our 1st and 3rd-grade students for being Ready, Respectful, and Responsible throughout February. There was a school-wide competition to see who could earn the most Positive Behavior Tickets (Red Raider Pride Tickets). Students who had the most tickets enjoyed participating in STEAM activities, gym games, a movie, popcorn, and a DANCE PARTY! Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring the popcorn for our day.
Marlette Elementary had so many exciting things happening at our Family Literacy Night, including the scavenger hunt, which was a big success!
Our elementary Marlette Red Raiders accepted the challenge with a Pirate's tenacity! Go, Red Raiders!
