Congratulations to Ceci Chapin, the newly promoted Transportation Supervisor! Ceci, a proud native of Sandusky, began her journey at Marlette Community Schools in 2014, initially working as a bus driver and in the cafeteria. Throughout the years, she has actively participated in various school events to support the endeavors of her three boys, Will, Westley, and Walker. As a dedicated sports mom, Ceci is passionate about high school wrestling. Her deep-rooted love for the community and the school is evident, and she eagerly anticipates many more years of contributing to their success.


We want to thank Deb Silance for her years of dedicated service as a bus driver in our district. Her commitment to safety and her mentorship of new drivers have made a lasting impact on our community. Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement, Deb, and thank you for all you've done!


Betsy Herron, a shining example of professional growth, was the High School Secretary from Dec 1, 2016 - June 2024. She has now advanced to the role of an Administrative Secretary in the Superintendent's office. A Marlette graduate (1987), Betsy attended Adrian College and graduated with majors in math and history and a secondary education background. She resided in Adrian from 1987 until 1999 and worked as a Program Director at the YMCA. She returned to Marlette and worked for Team One Credit Union and State Farm Insurance. Her journey is an inspiration, and she looks forward to serving her community and co-workers in her new position.

The PALM Bike Tour (Pedal Across Lower Michigan) has arrived in Marlette! Over 475 cyclists will stay with us until tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. We will provide dinner, breakfast, showers, concessions, and more. The group travels throughout lower Michigan, covering 30-60 miles each day. We're excited to showcase Marlette's hospitality to these participants.

Mark your calendars as the Thumb Sportswriters Association All-Star Basketball Games are set to overtake Marlette on Friday, June 21st.
Get ready for an evening of thrilling basketball action! The Girls ALL-STAR Basketball game will kick-off the excitement at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Boys game at approximately 7:30 p.m. And don't forget the adrenaline-pumping dunk and three-point contests during the breaks!
The cost to attend the athletic festivities is $7.00. Your support is crucial as the proceeds directly benefit the Thumb Sportswriters Association for their awards given throughout the year.
Please note: this event is a special opportunity for our graduating seniors, who are the only ones eligible to play in the games, per MHSAA rules.
