We are extending the Bags for Bucks fundraiser until November 8th! This is an excellent opportunity for students who want to raise money for the 2026 Washington, D.C. trip. Students will earn 40% of their sales towards their journey, so it's a fantastic way to start saving up. Let's make this fundraiser a huge success!

As we observe National School Bus Safety Week, let's all work together, especially parents and the community, to create a safe environment for our children. Slow down around school buses, obey traffic laws, and encourage safe behavior. # SchoolBusSafetyWeek 🚸🚌

Sanilac County College Night is scheduled for October 28, 2024, from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Sandusky Junior/Senior High School gymnasium. College Night is coordinated through the Michigan Association for College Admission Counseling or MACAC. All students must register at StriveFair.com before entry to the fair. When the student registers, the student will receive a barcode/ID# that the student will use at the fair to check in at each of the colleges, universities, and military representatives they visit at the fair. Colleges will scan the barcode during the fair to send the student more information about their schools. The day after the fair, the student will receive a report with information on the colleges with whom they scanned. Please encourage your students to register before arriving; this will allow them to enter the fair without the hassle of registering at the door. Informational flyers are attached. Registering with Strive Scan, flyers advertising the event, and a current representative list. We hope that you advertise so that your students and parent(s)/guardian(s) will be able to attend.
In the SHS cafeteria, Nicholas Messing from MI Student Aid will hold a Financial Aid 101 presentation from 4:45 to 5:45 PM. The presentation will provide an overview of college costs, federal/state financial aid programs, scholarship searching, and FSA ID and FAFSA.
This is just a reminder about the $25.00 expense contribution billing for this year’s College Night. Checks should be made payable to Sandusky Community Schools and reference College Night. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Owen with any questions.

Our volleyball team has strength, skill, and spirit. Let's show our support! Go, Red Raiders!
