In Mr. Meyers' 8th grade science course, students were able to have a hands-on learning experience by dissecting deer hearts while studying the functions of a heart.

Choo! Choo! What's that sound? Must be the Teacher Treat Trolley that took its maiden voyage around the elementary building today with founders Mrs. Cross and Mrs. Pennington at the helm.

Marlette High School senior and aspiring educator, Cole Ellis, taught his very first lesson on his own today to Mr. Reynolds's sixth graders. Cole is interning at Marlette Elementary for the year as part of the Careers in Education program through the Sanilac Career Center.




The high school art students made ceramic sculptures based on the "Wild Things" drawings created by our first grade students. Today the high schoolers presented the first graders with the finished sculptures. #finearts #RedRaiderNation




Mrs. Branding's second graders visited our friends at Hannah Wolfe today. They made Thanksgiving wreaths for each resident's door. This trip was a reward for having the highest percentage of Read at Home October calendars returned. #RedRaiderNation #NationalKindnessDay

VIP & Me Science Night is next Tuesday, November 19, from 3:00 to 4:00. All Young 5's through 6th grade students are invited along with their VIP. RSVP forms are due tomorrow. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
The weather continues to get colder and some of our children need a warm, winter coat. If you have one sitting around that your child has outgrown or you want to donate something new, we will gladly accept it at the elementary school. Thank you!

National Day Calendar proclaims November 14, as National Family PJ Day. We like to take full advantage of any day that allows us to wear pajamas to school so tomorrow everyone in our Marlette Community Schools family is encouraged to wear their PJ's!

Red Raider Care will be open Tuesday, November 12. We accept children 3 years through sixth grade. If your child hasn’t attended before, arrive early so you can complete the necessary paperwork. We open at 6:00 AM. Drive carefully!
