The elementary school is doing an inventory of our current technology and we have several missing iPads and Chromebooks. Please return any technology items you have borrowed to the elementary school by this Friday, December 11. This is only for families who are in-person. If you are a part of our virtual learning program, please keep your checked out device. Thank you.

Rodney Raider was in Mrs. Branding’s classroom this morning. He sat right over her shoulder and kept an eye on the students during the Google Meet. He learned about the schwa sound in phonics, listened to a Christmas story, and saw that second graders can do two digit addition! He noticed that the students were very respectful during the meeting and were all following directions! He has some great things to tell Santa about Mrs. Branding’s second grade class. #ElfontheShelf

Marlette Jr/Sr High students in 9th thru 12th grades are scheduled to return to face to face instruction on January 4th, 2021. This is subject to change based on the Governor's updates. There has been some confusion regarding the letter that was sent home...that letter is specifically regarding second semester.

Rodney Raider had time to read and explore the school over the weekend. He found some red construction paper. He wants to keep hearing all the girls and boys are doing their best on their school work, but most of all, wants to remind us to share a loving word or gesture with our families and friends. LOVE is needed everywhere. #ElfontheShelf #RedRaiderNation

Rodney Raider in Mrs. Greve's classroom
Rodney Raider visited Mrs. Thompson’s classroom today and had a little snack. Her 4th graders loved seeing him in their classroom. He will now have lots of energy to fly back to the North Pole and report about all the hard work Marlette students are doing!

Rodney Raider spent the day in the gym with Mrs. Zuhlke. He wasn't sure about virtual gym so he made himself a little jump rope from a shoelace to get his exercise! He sat in on all of the Google Meets Mrs. Zuhlke had today so was able to see many students right in their own homes! He is so impressed with the number of students who participated today! It was nice to have some company in the gym!

THE MARLETTE ELEMENTARY GIVING TREE 2020: The annual Marlette Elementary Giving Tree is decorated and shining brightly in the school’s lobby to help those in need during this holiday season. All toys stay in the Marlette community through Marlette Toys for Tots. During this unprecedented year, there are multiple ways to help: 1. Come to the elementary and grab a tag off of the tree. Return the unwrapped toy to the school by Friday, December 18th. 2. If you are unable to make it to the school to grab a tag, you can donate any unwrapped toy for a boy or girl from infant to 12 by Friday, December 18th. 3. If you cannot make it to the school at all, you can send a check to Marlette Elementary School, Attn: Giving Tree, 6230 Euclid St, Marlette, MI 48453 and we will go out and purchase toys for you. The school is open from 8:00am to 3:00pm during school days and toys can be placed in the container in the lobby. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Reynolds at lreynolds@marletteschools.org.
