Mr. Varey is proud to announce that on December 10, 2021, Marlette High School sent 25 students to compete in various individual and team events at the annual Business Professionals of America (BPA) Regional Leadership Competition. After a year and a half hiatus from BPA (due to covid), our Marlette students came back with a vengeance to show off their superior business skills. With 11 schools and over 300 students competing, 23 Marlette students took home a total of 32 medals in 17 different events; advancing each of them to the State Leadership Competition held on March 10-13, 2022!!! Only the Top 5 students in Individual Events and the Top 2 Teams make it on stage so Marlette definitely made an impression during the Awards Ceremony. Some of the highlights are as follows: 23 of 25 students advanced to the State BPA Competition 9 students were multiple award winners 6-1st, 5-2nd, 4-3rd, 5-4th, 3-5th place awards 3 out of the top 5 in 2 events! (Interview Skills, Presentation Management Individual) 2 out of the top 5 in 2 events (Fundamental Accounting, Basic Office Procedures)
