Our Marlette Wrestling team is creating quite a buzz in our community! Many NEW fans took the time to watch the match on Saturday at Vassar. As the fans cheered our wrestlers on, our results were magnificent. Manus Bennett took 1st place in his division. Turlough Bennett placed 2nd, losing the 1st place spot to a three-time state medalist. Laila Verellan placed 7th as did Jack Macha. Westley Chapin and Brooke Reber were in the "Blood Round" and gave it their all. The entire team is showing great improvements and excelling at a quick pace. Algebra 1 students have been connecting graphs to context, learning to identify features of functions, and strengthening their understanding of the definition of a function. They have also been expanding their use of function and interval notation. The Engineering Club has been devoting a couple of Saturdays in addition to meeting on Wednesdays after school to work together to put the new 3-D printer together that was purchased with grant monies.
The students built the electronic and computer boards and started coding their robot. Two volunteers who are professional engineers (Michael and Macy) help our students with designing and building the machine. It has been tons of fun to watch the students learn and enjoy how they can apply their craft of interest.

Congratulations Jaime Zuhlke for a job well done!
