Bow season has commenced in gym class! 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade elementary physical education students worked on archery. It’s incredible to see the focus and pride students take in their shooting.
Thank you to Ben’s Great Outdoors for keeping our bows in top shape. They also purchased rebuild kits for our targets and built us new floor quivers. We appreciate the support from our local business!
Another huge thank you to Mr. Mike Nickens. Mr. Nickens installed a new system for our archery curtain, which gives us more space and makes it easier to put it up and down.

Students in Rachel Bennett's 8th-grade math class used Cheez-Its to measure the sides of a right triangle, and they discovered how the Pythagorean works. After measuring the sides, students "squared" up the side lengths of the triangle with crackers on the legs and hypotenuse of the given triangle. They were then able to connect that the legs squared and added together equaled the hypotenuse squared.
The goal is for the students to identify the legs and hypotenuse of any right triangle correctly. Students will use this knowledge to determine if a triangle is a right triangle based on the given measurements. They will then be able to apply this knowledge to 3D shapes.

The Jr High Track Team's bus should be back at the Jr/Sr High School between 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
