Thank you to our band and students for being part of the Marlette Memorial Day Parade. We appreciate you taking the time to help honor the heroes who fought for our freedom.





5th graders visited the JR/SR High School in preparation for the next school year. Students toured the building, spoke with Mr. Pennington about their schedule and athletic opportunities, ate lunch, and learned about expectations. We are excited for their arrival next year.









Christina and her "friends" from the Timber Creek Petting Farm in Lexington on Thursday and Friday visited Marlette Elementary School. Students got to interact and see snakes, hedgehogs, lizards, a tortoise, and much more. The experience earned rave reviews, especially from the pre-schoolers.
Thank you to everyone who fundraised with Charleston Wrap and Double Good Popcorn this year. Those funds helped to pay for assemblies, the Color Run, field trip scholarships, and the book vending machine.

Our students were tasked to create a personal floatation device in health class. They did a great job showing off their creative builds.




During the Rainbow-themed day in Ms. Cornwell's class, students made a rainbow with fruit loops and enjoyed a delicious snack after building a rainbow.

Tomorrow is the last day to pre-order North Branch Bakery cookies for the Marlette Education Association Scholarship. At the elementary, forms will be sent home again in the Thursday Folders. At the high school, students can make their final orders at Friday's lunch. Each cookie costs $2.50. Cookie orders will be delivered on Thursday, June 1st. If your child is scheduled for the DC trip, they will be delivered on Monday, June 5th.


The third graders traveled to Lapeer to enjoy a day at Gerlach’s Bowling Center and then played in Cramton Park. Although the day was breezy, the kids enjoyed the outing!










Ms. Sue's Bus (Red Circle - 16A) is running 15-20 minutes late for her PM route today, May 24.


Reading is always fun, but when you can do it lounging in the sunshine, it makes the experience so much better. Ms. Cornwell's class enjoyed double S's this week - Stories and Sunshine!





Lily Parker broke the school record on Friday! It was a shot put record that stood for over 30 years. She threw an impressive 39'6". Congrats Lily!

We are hiring a 6th-12th grade science teacher! Must meet all criteria to be Highly Qualified according to the State of Michigan Highly Qualified Teacher Report as revised in February 2017. Candidate must have a valid Michigan Teaching Certification in Secondary Education and Certification in and Highly Qualified in Science with a DI or DX Endorsement.
