Ms. Marshall’s first-grade class students enjoyed celebrating C day by creating chalk drawings. The kids did an ABC countdown for the last 26 days of school with and discussed the fun activities that they learned to do each day. We can’t believe how fast first grade has flown by.

Thank you for all you do to care for our kids!

Friday, May 5, 2023 Ms. Mallory (15A Orange Heart) will not be available to drive her AM & PM routes. If you will be bringing your students to school and picking them up on Friday, or if they need the late bus, please call 989-635-4942 or email kay.taylor@marletteschools.org to let us know your plans. Thank you.

Softball is canceled for tonight.

Field Day is approaching! A Tie-Dye activity is planned. Students must bring a plain white T-shirt if they want to participate.

In Mrs. Albertson's class, the students have been subtracting numbers and like to play "Get off my Boat." Each student had their own boat and little pictures of their classmates for this activity. They loved to load their boat with friends and then tell them to "Get off my Boat!" They also had to write the number sentence down to determine the answer.

To our teachers who give their knowledge, hearts, and love to our students each day, we thank you for your endless dedication.

The cheerleading fundraiser extends through May 15th. You may be asked for a player/cheerleader name when checking out. Below is a short list of cheerleaders.

Every day brings a new opportunity to influence the lives of children, and you do so with kindness, love, and leadership. Thank YOU!

Adi, Olivia, Gabby, and Nadine are our new Student Council Officers!

Our high school winds played a difficult and emotional program at the state festival located at Bay City Central High School.
The clinician, Dr. Greg Cunningham, director of bands at Oakland University, told our bands during the clinic that they performed "extremely sophisticated music" and that "the level of cognition is profound."
Amidst a very tough adjudication panel, our band received straight excellent (II) ratings on stage - only two bands were receiving straight ones all day, and neither were class D bands - but despite the rating not reflecting our passion and work ethic, we couldn't be more proud of our modest ensemble. The devotion to excellence is something that our students display every day.

This month in Ms. Laursen's class for our Student Spotlight board, students combined art and a writing project. They wrote about what they liked best about spring on our flowerpot, then colored their flowers and added them to the pot to make a lovely spring craft.
