Marlette's girls Varsity basketball team beat Vassar Tuesday night to celebrate their first home game of the season. The Red Raiders defense made it difficult for the visiting Vulcans to score and the Marlette girls offense came to life in the big victory . Great job girls !

The annual Marlette Elementary Giving Tree is decorated and shining brightly in the school’s lobby to help those in need during this holiday season. All toys stay in the Marlette community through Marlette Toys for Tots. During this unprecedented year, there are multiple ways to help: 1. Come to the elementary and grab one of the stars that the lower elementary students colored. Return the unwrapped toy to the school before Friday, December 17th. 2. If you are unable to make it to the school to grab a tag, you can donate any unwrapped toy for a boy or girl from infant to 12 before Friday, December 17th. 3. If you cannot make it to the school at all, you can send a check to Marlette Elementary School, Attn: Giving Tree, 6230 Euclid St, Marlette, MI 48453 and we will go out and purchase toys for you. The school will be open from 8:00am to 3:00pm during school days and toys can be placed in the container in the lobby. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Reynolds at lreynolds@marletteschools.org.

Boys Basketball is back! JV/V Boys Basketball started with a pre-season scrimmage vs. Peck. The expectations are high which should make for an exciting winter season and the crowd echoed the spirit. The Red Raiders expect to compete for a league title and will work hard to defend their 2021 District Championship. The Girls and Boys High School teams open their home seasons next week vs Vassar. JV/V Girls on Tuesday @ 6:00 and the boys play on Wednesday at 6:00. Both are home games. See you there! Go Red Raiders!
