Kelly Lams is a dedicated teacher with six years of teaching experience, including two years as a 1st-grade teacher at Marlette Elementary. As a 2nd-grade student, Kelly struggled academically but had a teacher who recognized her potential and spent extra time with her, which changed her outlook on education. This experience inspired Kelly to become a teacher herself.
From a farming background, Kelly grew up attending auctions at the Marlette Livestock Auction House and comprehending farm life, which helped her communicate better with her students and their families. She is willing to try new things to support student learning and gets creative.
When she's not in the classroom, Kelly enjoys gardening, painting figurines for model train layouts, and spending time with her husband and baby boy.
