Jess Wirges

Growing up, Jess Wirges often played "Teacher" with her siblings during road trips. She would gather pamphlets from rest stops and read them aloud. She would then test her siblings by giving them multiple-choice questions about what she had read to them.

Her passion for teaching was further cemented by the examples set forth by her teachers in 8th grade and high school. Jess taught six years in Missouri and as a 2nd-year teacher at Marlette in Special Education at our Junior High, Jess brings her observant and flexible personality to the classroom to adjust lessons to support student learning and engagement quickly.

Her ultimate goal is to have students learn to love themselves and become empathetic and caring individuals. Jess enjoys theater, singing, and making jewelry in her free time!
