Marlette Community Schools

Meet Joanie Thompson, a 4th-grade teacher who has taught for 18 years. She is an incredible teacher who joined Marlette in 2020 to give back to the district that has helped her three children thrive. Mrs. Thompson is known for her excellent communication skills and believes working in partnership with parents is vital to helping children succeed in the classroom.

Her ultimate goal for her students is to make them productive members of the world to encourage them to work hard and learn from each other. She creates a fun and engaging environment in her classroom where every student feels valued and heard.

Mrs. Thompson loves camping with her family and friends for at least 40 days a year when she is not busy teaching. She is also an avid reader of fiction books and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
