Marissa Cooper vividly remembers being in the 2nd grade and drawing a picture of herself sitting at a teacher's desk. She has known since she was seven that this would be her lifetime vocation. When she was a freshman in high school, she also had a teacher who inspired her to grow and showed her that a classroom was a safe environment made for students to excel.
Her biggest strength as a 1st-grade teacher is to focus on building relationships with students to help develop a deeper bond and encourage continued learning.
In her spare time, Mrs. Cooper loves spending time with her husband, rearranging the furniture in her home, drinking iced caramel coffee, and listening to the Jonas Brothers.
