Every effort has been made to keep children safe when they arrive and depart from our school. The parking lot can be a very dangerous place if everyone doesn’t cooperate. (If an older brother or sister is the transporter, please be sure they are aware of these procedures):
All vehicles enter the parking lot using the west drive, farthest from the playground. Exit is the east drive, closest to the playground.
Buses travel behind the school to drop off and pick up. No cars are permitted behind the school or in the drive leading to the back of the school. School doors open at 8:00 AM.
Arrivals- Dropping Off
Vehicles are to pull up to the sidewalk and pull forward as far as possible before allowing students to exit the vehicle. Please pay attention to the staff member assisting in the parking lot.
Arrivals- Walking In
Pull into the parking lot and park in the two rows closest to Euclid Street. Please teach children to use the crosswalk. Pay attention to the staff member assisting in the parking lot.
Departures
Vehicles are to enter the parking lot at the west entrance drive and park. Avoid parking on the sidewalks at the end of the day. The sidewalks are a NO PARKING zone and you may be issued a citation. Students will begin leaving the building at 3:00 and are supervised on the sidewalk until a parent/guardian walks to the sidewalk to escort them to the family vehicle. Only adults listed on the Authorized Pick Up Form may pick students up at the end of the day. Those people picking up students may be asked for identification. In order to maintain a safe and orderly environment, please refrain from entering the hallways at the end of the school day. Allow your child to walk to you outside of the front doors. Students must be picked up by 3:00.
