STAFF HIGHLIGHT

Mrs. Luann Holcomb joined the Marlette Community Schools in 2016 when she began working in the special education department as a one-on-one para-professional.  She is currently the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Assistant, as well as a caregiver for Red Raider Care in the afternoon.

Mrs. Holcomb states she chose to drive 15 minutes a day, four times a day for her children to attend a good school through the Schools of Choice program until her family moved into the District in 2018. All three of her boys have since graduated from Marlette Schools.

"I like working with the preschool children.  This age is a fun age. The most rewarding part is to see the children come in so happy to see us," Mrs. Holcomb said.

Mrs. Nicole Albertson, GSRP Lead Teacher stated, "We knew right away that we wanted Ms. Luann as the Assistant Teacher in our preschool class. She stepped in at the end of last year and within a week she knew exactly what her roll was. She is so kind, sweet, and calm with the students and we appreciate her every single day. I hope she knows how much she is loved in our room!"
