From the Desk of the Superintendent:
Greetings Red Raider Nation!
My name is Matthew Karaffa and it is my honor to serve as your superintendent of schools. I cannot help but feel excited about the possibilities as I look forward to the 2021-22 school year and beyond. I am proud to begin serving a district staff that is working diligently to improve student scores, meet rigorous state standards, build a strong athletic program, improve upon our already successful performing arts programs, and to develop and encourage community participation in the process. It only takes one look into the faces of our amazing students to know that we are making a positive impact on their lives.
As we emerge from a school year of uncertainty, it is time to get to work on planning for a new school year. Marlette has strong traditions and a proud history of academic and athletic success and the goal is to continue to build on that history to make Marlette a destination for families looking for a change and a place to call “home”. I look forward to meeting everyone and I also look forward to building relationships as we all come together with the common goal to do what is best for our students. It is time to tell OUR story.
